FTP transactions are possible using Internet Explorer alone however Internet Explorer is not a true FTP client and is often unstable during FTP transactions. Using a true FTP client to transfer files is recommended and I provided a list of popular FTP clients below for you to find one to your liking. Using a true FTP client gives you more stable transfers and offer a wider range of options. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, there is no built in FTP client like is available in Internet Explorer and I would recommend using the FireFTP extension available here at the Mozilla website.
