First pick the patch configuration with the item/items that you want to disable on your server. You will need the VPP Builder to make the changes to your ui.vpp file located in your Red Faction Directory. You can get VPP Builder here. Open up your ui.vpp and add the items.tbl within the patch configuration that you want using the VPP Builder. (Dragging the items.tbl and dropping it in your open ui.vpp is the easiest way to accomplish this.) You should always make a copy of your ui.vpp before making any changes to it so you can always go back to it if you would happen to mess something up.
